Behind every meaningful company, idea, or movement is a story. Not a marketing slogan or campaign—but a real story about why something exists and why it matters.
Wylder Stories was created to help bring those stories into the world with clarity and craft. We work with founders, brands, and organizations who are building something real—something with purpose behind it—and help translate that mission into films, documentaries, podcasts, and content people actually want to watch.
Not advertising. Not noise. Just honest storytelling that carries meaning.

People no longer trust traditional advertising. They skip it, scroll past it, or tune it out entirely. But a well-told story does something advertising cannot — it creates genuine emotional connection that endures.
A clear story communicates why your work exists in a way that audiences immediately understand and remember.
It shows the real person behind the work — their conviction, their journey, their reason for building.
Emotional resonance is what converts an audience from passive observers into genuine believers and advocates.
When a story is clear and coherent, it moves through the world naturally — carried by the people it moves.
This is the work we focus on.
Wylder Stories helps organizations develop and produce meaningful content that expresses the heart of what they do — from a single brand film to a full long-term media ecosystem.
Feature documentaries, docu-series, and branded films that give your mission the depth and permanence it deserves.
Narrative-driven short films and content ecosystems designed for modern platforms — built for resonance, not just reach.
Concept development, production, and distribution strategy for long-form audio storytelling that builds loyal audiences.
Helping founders and brands shape a coherent media presence that supports their mission and long-term goals — including serving as a fractional Chief Entertainment Advisor.
Wylder Stories creates content across every format that matters — each one chosen for its ability to carry meaning at scale.

Wylder Stories was founded by Robert W. Dean — a career spent working inside the world of film, production, and media, developing projects, supporting filmmakers, and helping bring stories to life.
Over the years, Robert has helped facilitate and oversee hundreds of millions of dollars in production, working alongside studios, producers, and creative teams across a wide range of projects — including partnerships connected to studios such as A24 and Lionsgate.
Through this experience, he gained a deep understanding of how stories are developed, financed, produced, and brought to audiences. But more importantly, he saw something clearly: the most powerful stories are not always coming from Hollywood. They are emerging from founders, innovators, and organizations working to shape the future.
I've spent much of my life around storytelling. Film sets, development rooms, production offices, and creative collaborations with people who care deeply about bringing ideas to life.
Over time I began to notice something. Many of the most meaningful stories weren't coming from studios — they were coming from founders, builders, farmers, scientists, artists, and people working quietly on things that truly matter.
But those stories often weren't being told well. They were reduced to marketing language, press releases, or social media posts that didn't fully capture the depth of what people were actually building.
Wylder Stories exists to change that. Our goal is simple: to help bring important stories into the world with honesty, beauty, and craft. Because when a story is told well, people feel it. And when people feel something, it moves them.
— Robert
At Wylder Stories, we believe the best stories share five essential qualities. When these elements are present, storytelling becomes something more than content. It becomes culture.
The story reflects something real — not a performance. Audiences can feel the difference between authenticity and artifice, and they always choose the former.
People connect with people, not corporate messaging. Every powerful story has a human being at its center — their struggle, their conviction, their work.
Craft matters. Visual storytelling carries emotion in ways that words alone cannot. How something looks and sounds shapes how it is felt.
When the story is clear and internally consistent, people understand it immediately — and carry it with them.
Stories should contribute something meaningful to the broader conversation happening in the world right now.
Wylder Stories works alongside a specific kind of organization — one that understands that their story is as important as the work itself.
Founders building companies where the why matters as much as the product — and who want the world to understand what they're really creating.
Organizations that have outgrown traditional marketing and are ready to build a storytelling presence worthy of what they stand for.
Groups working toward cultural, environmental, or social change who need their mission expressed with clarity and cinematic power.
Entertainment partners seeking aligned storytelling relationships built on shared values, creative integrity, and long-term vision.
Organizations often come to Wylder Stories when they've reached an important realization: traditional marketing isn't enough to communicate what they're building.
They may have tried agencies, campaigns, or content strategies that produced volume — but not meaning. What they're looking for is something deeper: a way to express the true story behind their work.
That's where Wylder Stories comes in.
Most agencies approach storytelling from the perspective of advertising. We approach it from the perspective of film and documentary.
When those elements are clear, the story naturally becomes compelling — not because it was engineered to perform, but because it's true.
Many brands struggle because their storytelling is fragmented. Strategy lives in one place. Production happens somewhere else. Distribution decisions happen later, often disconnected from the original intent.
Wylder Stories integrates the entire process — from the first narrative question to the final delivered film — creating coherence from beginning to end.
Finding the true story and shaping it with intention.
Defining the right formats, platforms, and distribution approach.
Bringing the story to life with filmmaker-level craft.
Releasing the story into the world, ready to move.
Because of our background in film and production, we understand how stories move through the broader media landscape — from development and financing through production and distribution.
Today's audiences are incredibly good at detecting content that feels manufactured. They've been exposed to so much polished but hollow messaging that their instincts are finely tuned. They respond to honesty, humanity, and clarity — and they recoil from anything that feels like performance.
Our goal is not to manufacture a story. Our goal is to reveal the story that already exists within the work you're doing. That story is almost always more powerful than anything that could be invented.
Many of the organizations we work with are building something meaningful over years — not weeks. For that reason, Wylder Stories often acts as a long-term storytelling partner, helping guide how a brand's narrative evolves across every format and platform.
Cinematic stories that anchor the broader narrative identity.
Long-form explorations that give depth and permanence to your mission.
Ongoing audio storytelling that builds loyal, engaged audiences over time.
Platform-native content that keeps the story alive and moving.
Broader narrative contributions that place your work within a larger conversation.
Over time, this creates something much more powerful than individual campaigns. It creates a coherent narrative identity.
If you're building something meaningful and want your storytelling to reflect the depth of that work, we'd love to explore what might be possible together.
Every collaboration begins with a simple conversation. There's no pitch, no pressure — just a genuine interest in understanding what you're building and why it matters.
Behind every meaningful mission, there's a story worth telling. Let's bring it to life.
